A week ago, I signed up for my first artist alley.
It was on a whim.
To those who are unfamiliar, artist alley is a section in a convention where artists sell their art. It’s an opportunity to meet people who resonate with your art and sell it to new audiences.
Lately, I’ve been in this sort of limbo where i felt anxious about the lack of movement and progress in my life. I went to school, got my degree only to hear deafening silence when it came to applications and interviews. So when I saw an opportunity to pursue closer to my dream of creating for a living, I took it.
The convention name is: Georgia Mountains Charity Comic Con 2025.
It’s taking place in Jasper, GA on October 31st and November 1st.
Purpose: I’ts being organized to raise money for a local libray in Pickens County.
What I’ve done so far
As of now, I’ve ordered my first printer and paper to print my art, printed out a portion of my stock for the convention and am waiting for my supplies for my booth.
Things I’m currently working on
- New sticker designs,
- Deciding if i want to sell enamel pins and charms.
I’m so excited , I’ve barely slept these past few days as ive been touching up my art, gettign rid of stray pixels and design mistakes so that I can sell prints that I’m proud to let go of.
Anyways, I’ve had fun but it’s been a bit tiring. I’ll be going to bed earlier tonight. I can feel myself deteriorating from lack of sleep.
I’m not sure if anyone who happens to read this will be in the area or is interested but check it out if you have the time, ability or resources. It’d be lovely to meet people who like art or other artists.
